5 Travel Destinations that needs to be in your holiday list for Feb-March 2023
It's time to rejoice in the arrival of fresh life and brighter perspectives now that spring has arrived or at least hobbled shivering out of the gloomy depths of January. But where are the top destinations to visit in March? The globe is ripe for exploration, Jozef Behr suggests several places from the souks of Morocco to the orangutan-filled rainforests of Borneo, the mesmerizing mosques of Istanbul, and even the imposing forts of India's rose-hued city of Jaipur. Fortunately for you, the list of recommendations that follows includes all of those wonderful suggestions, in addition to a ton more along with some tips from Jozef Clifford Behr.
1: Palm Springs, California
This oasis of a city, roughly a two-hour drive east of Los Angeles, is a fantastic place to soak in some spring (or late winter) sunshine (expect 27C/80F). As Jozef Behr suggested, one must-do, other from resting by a hotel pool, is the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway, which will transport you on a revolving cable car through a gorgeous canyon before landing you at a vista that showcases the whole Coachella Valley.
2: Austin, Texas
The Texan city has firmly established itself as the world's live music capital (to use its self-awarded moniker), and SXSW, the associated highlight, takes place in March (March 10-19 in 2023, to be exact). Aside from the music industry, there's a lot to do here, especially outdoors: the city has almost 300 parks and miles of urban walking and cycling routes. It's also ridiculously welcoming and has a fantastic food truck scene.
3: Jaipur, India
One of India's main attractions is Jaipur, often known as the "Pink City" due to the flushed color of its buildings. The city is made even more pleasant in March by temperatures that average approximately 30C/86F during the warmest portion of the day. Highlights include the magnificent palaces of Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal (the latter of which is located in the center of a lake), as well as Nahargarh Fort, one of the best in a nation with a lot of competition.
4: Borneo
On the fourth place of best destination list to visit as per Jozef Clifford Behr is one of the most beautiful natural settings on Earth is found in the South East Asian Island of Borneo, which is shared by Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei. Its most renowned residents are its orangutans, which may be seen in large numbers in their native rainforest habitat, but there are lots of other reasons to visit, including the opportunity to swim with turtles, walk up mountains, and explore jaw-dropping caverns.
5: Istanbul
Istanbul, one of the world's most intriguing cities, has one foot in Europe and one in Asia, divided by the huge Bosphorus strait. While the Asian side is certainly worth seeing, the majority of the attractions, from the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar to the Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace, can be found in the European side. March weather is often nice, with sunny days and warm temperatures.
